Congressman Russell Invites Students to Enter 2017 OK-5 Congressional Art Competition
Washington, DC – The office of Congressman Steve Russell (OK-5) has announced it is now accepting entries for the annual Congressional Art Competition for high school students in Oklahoma’s Fifth Congressional District. This year’s theme is America the Beautiful.
Each spring, the U.S. House of Representatives sponsors a nationwide high school art competition, An Artistic Discovery. The students who win the competition of their respective participating district will have their art displayed in the Cannon Tunnel of the U.S. Capitol in Washington, D.C. for one year. The winning prize also includes round trip airfare travel to Washington with a guest for a reception and award presentation in June. This is a great opportunity to recognize and inspire the artistic talent in the nation as well as Oklahoma’s Fifth Congressional District.
Congressman Russell has also extended the opportunity to display other highly rated artwork from Oklahoma’s Fifth Congressional District in his congressional offices.
All entries are accepted at Congressman Russell’s district office from February 1st through April 7th, 2017 by 5pm. The location is listed below:
Del City Office
