Congressman Russell Statement on Steering Committee Recommendation
Washington, DC – Today, the House Republican Steering Committee recommended that Congressman Trey Gowdy (SC-4) be named chairman of the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee, to succeed Chairman Jason Chaffetz (UT-3).
“It was an honor to present my ideas before the Steering Committee,” said Congressman Steve Russell (OK-5). “It went very well. I also look forward to working with Chairman-Elect Gowdy and appreciate his friendship. It will be an exciting time to work on needed reform.”
