Del City, OK – Today at 5:40 PM, Congressman Steve Russell (OK-5) will be at the Francis Tuttle Technology Center to see the gift given by aircraft manufacturer Airbus and repair company NORDAM prior to his public Town Hall meeting. Francis Tuttle is one of five Oklahoma schools and universities that will receive in flight-control surfaces known as ‘elevators’ from within the Airbus A320 and A330 family of aircraft to five Oklahoma schools and universities for use in research and teaching. All in all, these donations come to $5.9 million.
Congressman Steve Russell said: “I’m excited that Airbus and NORDAM have chosen Francis Tuttle Technology Center to receive a donation of aviation equipment. Oklahoma has long been a leader in aviation, and this donation helps to perpetuate that legacy by strengthening Oklahoma’s aviation education. This is an example of the private sector partnering to improve the readiness of the workforce.”
